Have a little fun today-

Divorce your mind from care

Put aside your normal clothes

Choose something ‘fun’ to wear.

Let the colour suit your mood

Accessorise it well

The forgotten chain, the unused ring

Allow your aura to swell.

Let some music play all day

Dance around your house

Connect with your inner flame

Go and tickle your spouse!     

Pick up the phone and call a friend

You haven’t seen in a year

Just to let him know you care

And shed as little tear.

Joyously face a “situation”

And watch the way you act

Automatically you will

‘Respond’ and nor ‘react’.

Go do something frivolous

Let the judgment end

Allow the child within you

To be your constant friend.

Laugh out loud and heartily

So people turn and stare

Kick your feet up on the street

You’ll soon be walking on air!

The book you’ve always meant to read

Movie timings that don’t seem to fit

Your overwhelmingly busy schedule…

Now’s the time to do it!

Jump into a monsoon puddle

Do something daring and tricky

Eat a mound of candyfloss

And let your fingers get sticky!

And when you go to bed at night

Heave a contented sigh

Allow yourself a spiritual hug

And kiss your worries goodbye.

The simple pleasures of life

Are always the most potent

So let’s celebrate God’s great gifts

By living moment to moment.
