Part 9 – Tete - A - Tete With God 30.09.03 (12.30 a.m.)

GOD: Today ,my child, we will talk on ''Tolerance'' -- a quality which very, very few of you can claim and which most of you disown ! What does this word " tolerance'' mean? Not just a passive surrender to another, perhaps grudgingly and with a silent but harsh judgement in your heart! ''Tolerance'' gathers in itself love, acceptance, understanding, humility and most of all, acknowledgement and respect of Divinity in another! How many times your Masters have told you about seeing and acknowledging Divinity in one another, and how many times you have failed in this endeavour.

PSW: My God, when you are faced with anger, resistance, criticism, unreasonableness, how can you not lose your patience and calm, and must you, on all occasions, give in and let the person have the better of you?

GOD: My child, it depends on how you look at it. If, instead of seeing the anger and the resistance, the criticism of the unreasonableness, you go a little deeper and see perhaps the pain, the utter hopelessness and the void that the person is going through, and most of all, if you see and acknowledge that the one standing before you, the angry, unreasonable, unpleasant one is only a façade, the illusion that you see, the true being within is divine, a part of you, who is only acting his part out in order to gain the experience and learn the lesson he has chosen. Should you not hold out your hand to him to help him learn his lesson, rather than stand in front of him like a brick wall which he is not able to climb and thereby misses an opportunity to learn his lesson? You are indirectly responsible for not allowing him to learn his lesson. Had you been ''tolerant'', you would have helped him fulfill a part of his mission and you would have, in turn, climbed a mile on your path! Moreover, you would have acknowledged Me by seeing and acknowledging his divinity. Both of which you failed! So you see, my dear one, by being intolerant to another you are actually being intolerant to Me! And you all talk with loud voices about universal oneness and brotherhood ! How can you talk of this when you do not have the love and respect for the God in one another– not only do you not respect and love one another but you do not respect and love yourself. Any wonder then that many of you feel a lack of self-worth? My dear friend, you might find my words harsh, but they are true all the same, and I'm sure in your heart you acknowledge the truth in them.

PSW: Yes, my Friend, I do! And I'm ashamed to say that I'm among the guilty ones and have failed you many, many times! Though every time I fail, I do regret and make a fresh resolve, and I ask you, God, to please help me keep this last resolve I have made and prove to You that You and your friendship indeed mean a lot to me!

GOD: My dear, beloved one, it gives Me great pleasure to see your frankness and unashamed acknowledgement of your weakness and failure – that in itself is your victory, my friend; half your battle is won. The other half we both will fight together, hand in hand.

PSW: Thank you, my beloved God, Your love and kindness in spite of our ingratitude, truly touches me and I have no way of expressing my gratitude but by making a resolve, right here and now, to love, to accept and to ''tolerate'' !

GOD: Bravo! My friend, I'm all with you!
