Good evening children. The master is away today but his blessings he sends to each one of you. We do not have much time today so I ask the child who is asking questions today to make them brief and to the point.

Yez: Sir, before that may I ask whether we can have a meeting on the 28^th which is Diwali day?

My son, first of all it is not Diwali day, and yes, you may certainly have the meeting because I know that my child in Poona is very anxious to attend this meeting with me. And remember, my son, a festival like Diwali should not make a difference to our meetings at all. Yes, the day of Diwali is one which releases and protects you from earthbound spirits, so this day must not bother you in any way if you are strong enough to withstand any kind of negative pull by the earthbound spirits. So, yes, we will certainly continue with our meeting.

Yez: Sohrab is not here so who will take his place when your child is in trance with her eyes open?

Are you not here, my son? But you must know what is to be done. You have not forgotten?

Yez: No sir.

Piloo: Can you talk to us about soul mates?

Who are soul mates? The very word itself should give you this answer. A mate is a companion, a friend, someone who supports you, is with you whenever you require his or her aid. A soul mate is exactly that. A friend. Now, my child, a soul mate need not be a close relative. It might be anyone. It might be someone with whom you have no blood relation at all. It is anyone who you feel a very close affinity, with whom words are not required, who understands your deepest moment of sorrow without any words being spoken, who knows how to teach you when the time is right, who knows what to teach you when the time is right. He or she will be with you in spirit wherever you are and wherever he or she might be. That, my child, is a soul mate.

All of you erroneously think that a soul mate is only one with whom you share very deep bonds of love in this lifetime. Let me tell you that that is not so at all. My child, you might be surprised to know that in a certain lifetime you may not feel any love for your soul mate. That is meant to be. Because out of a feeling of alienation or even hostility, my child, your soul mate is helping you onward. So, in that lifetime your soul mate takes on a very, very burdensome task of being one who you will not like, whom you might want to turn away from. But you might find that wherever you go this person and his or her odious presence (according to you) is always present. And that is how it is meant to be, because your soul mate whose soul shares such a bond of love with your soul, has taken upon him or her to put you through that pain, that dislike that anger, whatever negative feeling, in order to learn a lesson. That, my child, is also a soul mate. And remember, my child, that soul mate is one who will be with you always. The other soul mate is one who will always comfort you, who will love you, who will bond with you at once, but that does not make that person any dearer than the one who has taken on an unpleasant task for you.

Piloo: Sir, does that mean that we have more than one soul mate?

Of course, my child, of course. In fact, my children if you will study that word very carefully, look around you and study your life from as far back as you can. Then put down all the persons through whom you have learnt your greatest lessons, through whom you have found your greatest amount of peace and solace, through whom you have found the greatest amount of love for however brief a moment. They are all your soul mates. Do not only look for their positive influence in your lives, my children. Remember, negative influences are also your soul mates. This exercise will give you a very good idea as to who your soul mate is. You see, my children, what you all consider as a soul mate is one or two special persons in your life. There is no such thing. There is no one special person, my dear child. Everybody is here for a reason, everyone comes into your life for a reason. Do you think that they are not serving their purpose in your life? And if they are serving their purpose in your life, my child, are they not your ‘friend’? Do you understand now how erroneously you construe that word? Yes, my child, they are few persons with whom you bond instantaneously, with whom you will have no moment of misunderstanding, no moment of conflict, with whom you are always somehow on the same wavelength; that wherever you are and if that person is in trouble, you will at once know what is wrong. Yes, they are also your soul mates, and they are your soul mates with whom you have had very, very, very long and deep relationships over several, several, several lifetimes. That is why the bonding of souls is very strong. But that does not make him or her your one soul mate. Is that clear, child?

Sir, is it possible for us to know who is our soul mate?

Do the exercise, my child. How many soul mates you have already come across….did you bother to find out whether they were your soul mates? May be now is a good time. Do the exercise, my child and you will be surprised to know how many soul mates you have already encountered. Some for very brief moments of your life my child, and some are with you still. My child, you will be happy to know how many soul mates you have. Don’t look for one or two special persons, my child. That is an endeavour in vanity. Why vanity, my child? Because when you find one special person it makes you feel special that ‘I am special enough to have soul mate whom I have encountered and recognised.’ You don’t need vanity, my child. And you, my child, have never wanted vanity in your life. Do not fall into the trap that others will set for you.

Ernie: I would like to ask about my guardian angel. Very often I feel a close presence and feel that it may be my guardian angel? How do I recognise him or her?

Although this is a different subject, I will take it up because I feel that my child’s queries on soul mates has been answered completely. My child, may I now go on with this child’s questions?

Piloo: Yes, Sir. Thank you.

Every single life form, my children, has a guardian angel. Not only humans, but every single life form. Sometimes, my child, what you think is an angel is a guide. My children, there is difference between a guide and an angel. Do you remember our last discourse when we discussed that fairies were a completely different chain of evolution? Now you have another chain you are learning about. They are the cherubim, the angels. Once again their task, though close to that of fairies, is a much higher and wider task. Angels are here not only to look after you but also to help you in the tiniest deed that you might require from them. Tiniest, my children. For example if you lose a book, take a moment to ask your angel ‘please help me to find this book if it is in my highest interest.’ Or, my sin, if you do not find a parking spot ask your angel ‘please help me to find a convenient parking spot if it is my highest interest.’ And remember, when you do not find that parking spot, your angel is guiding you away from where you wish to go. So thank your angel. Remember children, you all ask for help, but many a time you forget to thank for the help that is rendered. Do you know why? Because you think that no help is being rendered. When the book is not found, when the parking spot is not available, when something that you have asked for does not come your way, you assume that help is not given and so thanks are also not said. This is wrong, my children. Help has been given, a lot of help has been given, in fact, because it is in your higher interest not to have found your book, not to have found the parking spot, not to have that work completed. So even then one must remember to ask your guide and guardian angel again and then thank them for looking after you so carefully. So, my child, sometimes yes, the presence you feel is certainly of your guardian angel, but at other times it is of your guides and councilors. But it is absolutely unimportant to try and think who is this? Is it my angel, my guide or my councilor? Eventually, my child, we are all with one purpose only, to look after you. So whoever you thank, you are in fact thanking us all. Does this answer your question?

Ernie: Yes, Sir. Thank you. I would also like to ask you with what words I can speak to my guides? Is it sufficient to speak to them in my thoughts?

My child, if I were here in physical form before you what words would you use? Use those very same words. We don’t need words well thought out, we don’t expect from you a lot of reverence. We want you to think of us as your closest, closest friend and speak to us thus. Do not think of us as higher beings who require reverence and awe from you. We don’t require that. We want to be in your hearts all the time. So whether you speak the words out aloud or merely as a thought, we can hear them equally well. So whatever is comfortable with you, use those words. But remember you are speaking to a friend.

Yez: I am delighted to hear this, Sir. I have always felt more comfortable using words like ‘Hi, pal’ or ‘buddy’.

Of course. My son. And I will tell you why I am asking you to treat us as friends. You see, my children, when you look up to us you begin to expect a lot from us and when we don’t deliver (as you might put it) then you get disappointed and very often people turn away from us. But if you treat us, as my son said a pal or buddy, your expectations are not so high. You expect from us what you expect from a dear friend and you will forgive us as quickly as you would a dear friend. Now you, might wonder why WE need forgiveness? We don’t, but you need to forgive us because you get very easily annoyed at us when we do not do what you need done. So, think of us as a friend who is able to see what is good and what is right and therefore sometimes the work is done and sometimes it is not. And if it is not done and you get angry, please feel free to tick us off. It will not bother us at all, but it will make you feel much lighter. But remember that once you have ticked us off very soundly, then forgive us because forgiveness is again an addition to your little bit of vanity. It makes you feel good, doesn’t it?
So forgive us, and then once again we can be friends and start afresh.

Silla: We have always been told that you must pray only to the Almighty. If we ask our guides or higher entities to help, would that also be a prayer?

Of course, my children. My child, what is a prayer?

Silla: A request.

Exactly. You have answered your question. You may request any one to help you. You may request more than one to help you, or you may directly request our dear Lord to help you. All prayers, my child, eventually reach the same source, and that is my dear, dear Lord. If our dear. Dear Lord does not wish your prayer to be granted that will be delivered right down the chain to your higher soul and your prayer will remain ungranted. So, my child, pray to whoever you find, brings comfort. It might not even be a prayer asking for anything other than just love and guidance, as you so very often pray for. My child, we are so happy with that, that you so rarely ask for something personal in your prayer and that is such a beautiful attribute. So when you ask for love, guidance, blessings, ask whoever you wish. Remember, ultimately we are all linked to only one Divine Soul.

Syrus: Sir, this is not out of ego or pride, but if God could talk to Donald Walsh and he could write three volumes, why can God not talk to me?

My son, I can sense anger and resentment behind this question. Do not be angry.

Syrus: Sir, I am not angry.

Yes, my son when these messages are delivered they are delivered to one or two or a few persons. But, my son, what is the purpose of these messages? They are not only to talk to Donald Walsh, they are meant so that through that book our dear Lord talks to you. When a musician writes a beautiful and inspiring piece of music, and you hear it and feel a closeness with our dear Lord, our Lord has spoken to you. When you see a painting which moves you and leaves you spellbound, our Lord has spoken to you. Because, my son, this child (pointing to others) might see the same painting and feel nothing because at that time our Lord has not spoken to her. My dear, dear, son hold my hands. The Lord is speaking to you now, my son. Is there only one way in which the Lord can speak? Do you think that there is only one way? You are a parent, and a wonderful parent, my son. Did you always use only one way to teach your children? Or did you not teach them in different ways? And sometimes those ways were unspoken. By listening to the music that you love, did you not inculcate that love in your children, without ever teaching them about music? By always having the house filled with good books did you not inculcate that love in your children, without ever telling them that reading good books is significant in their life? By always being a good and sensitive human being, did you not teach them the most important lessons of life without ever once speaking of them? So you spoke to your children, my son, did you not? The Lord speaks to you in different ways, my child. Do not ever think that my Lord speaks not to you. Every moment He speaks, but in different ways. You might hear the line of a song which might make you think of something significant, and teach you something good. That is my Lord speaking to you. You might see or hear a casual word which might teach you something. That is my Lord speaking to you. So my son, do not feel that my Lord does not speak to you. Our Lord is so near to you, so close to you. All you need, my son, is to believe it. And we ask you to believe even though we know that you still do not feel, as you say. In spite of that, my dear, dear son we ask you to believe our word. Our Lord speaks to you all the time, in all the ways.
