 Why was he so angry Sir?

Sometimes, little one, anger has to be deliberately used so that the force of what we wish to convey is completely felt by you.  Do not mistake it for rage.  Often when guides from our side are faced with such dense blocks they have to use different aids to break the blocks and anger, we have found, is an effective way.  If some of you do not respond to the anger, go beyond this aid and just bear the words in your mind and heart. The words are important, they are portentous and yes, for some present here it is well nigh past the time for these blocks to be dissolved gradually.

Before we ask you for your questions today, we wish to address a deep desire in many who come here.

There is a desire; there is a question 'Can I also become a Medium like this one?  Can I also communicate with my Guides?" A wonderful desire, to which the answer is ‘yes’! But, each one must understand that in every lifetime the skills that you have opted to adopt will be different. If you have not been telepathically strong in past lifetimes, you may make a small beginning in this one. But to reach a stage of communicating with different ascended masters would not be possible easily.  If you have in past lifetimes already honed your telepathic skills, you can most certainly start upon this wonderful journey. But there is a need to cleanse the instrument. This child is nothing but our instrument. And if she had not accepted a great challenge of
cleansing herself, we would not have been disappointed. We would have just looked for another more willing instrument. And we are always on the look for newer, fresher instruments. But if you desire it, an effort has to be made by you to completely cleanse the instrument. Our support is always with you, but the work must be done by you. Do not ever fall into a false trap of thinking that merely learning the physical skills makes you a good instrument. Yes, it might teach you the technique, which, yes, if you are a good student you may be able to use quite effectively. But if cleansing has not been undertaken, you will always restrain this to physical techniques and your guides will not truly be the spiritual guides and masters, but counsellors, who because of their denser vibrations are able to lower them to your very dense ones. So if you have this desire, we are joyous. And we urge you not to wait any more to begin this cleansing process. But we cannot misguide you or deceive you into believing that this process is easy. Cleansing never is. The more you desire to cleanse yourself, the stronger will be the 'fire' that you will have to walk through. It is this, only this one 'fear' that stops many from either starting on this journey or proceeding upon it further. There is another misconception in many. Some of you have been made to believe that when you take up a spiritual journey you have to give up someone or something dear to you. Why would any guide desire to cause you a hurt or a pain that is not required at all? When you travel on a spiritual journey, what you consider 'painful' is your 'acceptance' of the memories that you had suppressed, which you are now permitting to come to the surface ( part is lost here due to the malfunctioning of the amplification device) You are not made to undergo material deprivation because you start on a spiritual journey. All these are tests. But you will choose this and no, not all choose this.  There is no real need for all to choose such difficult tests. So do not permit this misconception to stop you. The moment of death for all is pre ordained. Whether you have started on a spiritual journey or not, it is neither going to create the death of someone nor stop it. The loss of material possessions is pre-ordained. The spiritual quest does not encourage or discourage this. We hope we have clarified many of the doubts. We hope we have answered many of the questions that we have seen over the weeks as we have come. We can now take your subject for today.

Sir, rituals in every religion - what is the significance of rituals in a religion and do they really help in spiritual journey or spiritual enhancement of an individual?

He is a dear one.

Let us begin this answer with a look in the past. We are looking at that time in the Earth's evolution, when the individual evolution of man was at a level far lower than it is now.  But, whether the evolution process is at a lower level or at a higher one, due to the Veil, each one needs to be reminded at some time in their lives of the presence of a Divine Light of which they are a part. When man's progress was still in its initial stages, it was found that the use of physical objects, the use of words which he had to physically chant, the use of icons and statues and pictures and a physical manifestation of nature in all her elements would be required for there to be a complete awareness and acknowledgement within the human mind. Do not ever forget that Universal Truths though constantly, infinitely, existing within the soul, have to once again be made aware to the mind. A recollection process. This was the beginning of the rituals.  When a spiritual leader was given the task of bringing to the mind and therefore parting the Veil, and realising the Universal Truths to all those around the spiritual leader, the leader would use readily available objects, to in a sense, tell a story. The physical, the tangible, is something that the mind can have a very ready connection with. It is not abstract and therefore it does not threaten the mind. And therefore ritualistic practices began. Let us take a few of the objects used by some in a few rituals.  We will try to take those rituals and those objects that you are familiar with. THE COCONUT:  Is it not always present in your rituals? Now what did the spiritual leader wish to convey through the coconut? The hard exterior of ‘forgetfulness’ is a cover for the gentle kernel of the heart and the feelings which nurture within them, the sweet water of the spiritual growth of the Divine Light. So the leader would take the coconut, allow the people to feel its rough, coarse exterior, encourage them to see that it is not very appealing in its look.  But although it seems so hard, it takes only one swift strong stroke to break it and to reveal the sweet kernel within and to taste the freshness of this water of soul connection. And so the coconut is ‘you’.  But if it were to be explained to the man of the past in such abstract terms, there would have been either a confusion or a complete rejection. But with the aid of the physical coconut, there was acceptance. Let us take another element. WATER: It is placed in several rituals and at different times it might be even sprinkled on those who are present. Water. By the use of the water the leader explained how gently water stays in your palm and how quickly it disappears when there is a fist. How smoothly and softly water flows bringing with it a silence to the heart. But when dammed, how strongly the water will break through the dam to destroy.  And what does this mean? Accept all of life's ups and downs gently without any attachment.  And life will stay in the palm of your hand. But the minute you resist, the minute you control, the essence of life goes away from you. When feelings are permitted to flow gently and smoothly, they bring within your heart a peace that extends outwards and cools the fire in others. But when these feelings are dammed, they will destroy what dams them. And so water reveals to you the truth of life and feeling. You then have FIRE.  If the spiritual leader was to speak in abstract terms of a light that glows within and which waits to merge with the greater light, there would have been no comprehension. But a small candle can teach this lesson.  A candle that is lit glows and continues glowing, where does the light go? You do not ever see it. Has it just disappeared?  No it has become one with the environment, spreading its glow far and wide.  And that is the fire of the Divine within you.  When you light that fire, where will this light go? Will it stay within you?  It must spread far and wide and it will, without your even trying. And then you have RICE: Rice has been for many cultures a staple food. It is nature's gift in abundance and has Nature become poorer? Take a handful of rice and cook it and you will be able to feed not one but many. Because the rice will give up itself and yet will not be destroyed, but will multiply.  By giving up itself, it takes in life giving water. So that it can feed all who are hungry. Can you be like that rice and give up of yourself so that you can take in life giving energy and expand so that all those who need you can feel themselves with your energy? In this manner the spiritual leader took what was available to teach what seemed to be small lessons but within these lessons was a world of truth. He took flowers and he took leaves. He took fruits and he took vegetables. He took the earth and he took the water and each had a lesson that could be taught. But man was not open to all the truth. And when he was open to the truth, he did not have the skill to communicate it correctly to others. And therefore what stayed on was the ritual, the physical symbol, and very little of the truth. But has the truth been lost? No. There are still spiritual leaders in your midst, religious teachers in your midst who know the truths and who will readily explain these truths to you; only you need to ask.

The spiritual leader also used chants along with these physical objects. The importance of chants and mantras has already been explained to you. The vibration of the sound and the word created the environment that could lift up the vibrations.

And different rituals then began to creep in.  But, without any judgement, one must also acknowledge that many who called themselves religious teachers and who had the wonderful knowledge and the essence of the truth that lies within the scriptures, did not desire to be instruments of truth, but gave in momentarily to material desires. And so rituals began to take on an importance that was never intended. And do we now ask you to stop your rituals? Certainly not. We only ask you to understand the wealth of truth that lies within each. We ask you not to merely mouth the words, but to become the sound itself. Many of these chants open up doorways for very high vibrations of Masters and Guides to enter. But these chants will do this task only when they are spoken from the silence of the soul and not the memory of the mind. And then do they help? You can answer that yourself.  Now your question - but do we need them?  Of course you don't need them. But for someone who does, it is not something to be condemned or jeered or laughed at. Many in this room do not need to go to a temple in order to pray and feel the connection with divinity and yet many in this room do, and each must follow his own path.  Because no path is wrong. And no path leads you away from Divinity. When it is all Divinity how will you ever manage to go away from it?  Not even your most cynical scientist will be able to do this. Because the truth is, that he has chosen this path of cynicism so that he can see a mirror image and call it science. And you see another mirror image and you call it spirituality. And that is all. Does this answer your question my son?

I have only one more point arising from that.  You mentioned in the beginning that rituals started with objects to explain mentally. So does it mean that the mental re-conditioning was started by the spiritual leaders themselves, which earlier you said we should go away from? Sir I could not reconcile these two.

There had been a conditioning which the spiritual leader was trying to break. But, as we all need to do, the spiritual leader had to use the same conditioning in order to get rid of the conditioning!  If the spiritual leader had attempted to force knowledge into a conditioned mind, knowledge would have stayed intellectual knowledge, or it would not have been absorbed at all. And so here comes the paradox. Conditioning needs to be gently erased. And yet, that same conditioning needs to be used for its own erasure. And that is what we are doing with you. We appeal to your conditioned mind, but because your evolution process now has reached a point of acceleration, although we are using your conditioned mind, simultaneously we are erasing it and planting
fresh pastures. This process can get accelerated as each one's evolution process is accelerated. For the pupil whose process is so highly accelerated the Master needs no words to recondition. The conditioning of the mind of communication through words can be erased almost instantaneously. But we do need to use the conditioning of the
mind for communication with words.  Is that clearer?

Sir can I jump to another topic? What is ‘ascension’?

The path that you already are on is 'ascension'. There seems to be a glory attached to this word 'ascension', 'ascended'!  There is no glory. Ascension is the process of the soul moving on from plane to plane and having reached a certain point, from dimension to dimension, and then having reached a certain point being able to expand itself into dimensions. It is the Process Of The Soul Learning Its Own Power where it then realises, that just as the Divine Light split itself and created itself anew in different manifestations, so can each soul. You can split yourself and create yourself anew in different forms and in different manifestations. Do you think that we are present only here?

How is this possible?  Are we something special, glorious? We are ordinary. We just started on this process a little earlier than you did!  Where is the glory?  The glory lies not in ascension, the glory lies in the realisation that each is the Divine Light itself. That is glory! And you do not have to wait till you reach a point of ascension when you can divide yourself. You can realise this here and now! And that dear one would be true ascension. There have been mediums who have been at fault for having glorified this process. And we permit that. Why do we permit this? My son (Syrus) is waiting to ask me questions!  Why do we permit it? In your moment of acceptance of truth and illusion will be a small moment of ascension for your soul. And why should be take away this from you? There is no glory attached to either ascension or being an ascended master.  You have a wonderful way of phrasing it.  You say 'we have arrived’! (laughter) Where? (laughter) There is nowhere to go! What a dismal arrival! (laughter) There is no arrival. When one sees this word 'arrival' there is a feeling of 'stop and going no further' and dear ones, our own souls have long journeys to traverse on still.  So ascension is not a question of going higher and having a feeling that one can now look down upon others. The journey is a horizontal journey.
And it is only a movement from one point to another. And every time you see and you feel that 'you have arrived' at the end of the journey, you realise that that was only an illusion. Because when you truly ‘arrive’, there will be such a complete merger with the Divine Light that you will not even be aware of the arrival.  Is this clear?

It is.

My question is on a different topic.  I'm still grappling with the human existence here. What is marriage and why are there so many unhappy marriages and what is the union actually?

You ask us the importance of something that you have created?! There is no universal truth to disseminate in this. If marriage is called a 'union', we fail to understand such a 'union' that requires legal approval and a 'religious seal'. Union? Where is the ‘union’? But you wish to enter into this by free will choice and who are we to say otherwise. You raised a question and we have answered.  Probably now you can understand why marriage brings with it as you said, so much unhappiness. Would true union result in grief? Would true union result in conflict?  And does true union require another to tell you that you are united?  Just as it requires another to tell you that now you are not united.  And that 'word' is omnipotent. In a 'word' you are united and in a word you are not.  But are we going to ask you not to follow it?  We repeat again. You must not do, or you must not be forced into doing, what you cannot accept, not even if it is the word of ascended masters.  It is only when the futility is experienced by you in all its completeness that you are ready to move away from this 'union'. It is a word like 'God'. You require it. Look into nature. Is there anything in nature that is 'bound' in an unnatural manner? Does the branch stay married to the trunk because of a legal certificate?  Does the fish live its life in union with the water because of the word of another?  
Let us look at this 'institution' and how it truly began. What was its purpose?  And why has it now outlived its purpose?  Once again we need to go back into our past. Our past - yours and mine.  And we go back into a past where the Veil of Forgetfulness was so dense that there were no spiritual leaders.  We go to a past, where physicality was the 'god', where fulfilment of physical desires was the only object of life.  A necessary phase in the blueprint of the Earth. In this environment when fulfilment of base desires became the object of life, there was a need arose to place a boundary. And the first boundary that was placed was not marriage.  It was the home, where each one now did not live all together but in areas that were bounded off and to which each group felt a sense of belonging. And there was an unspoken rule, if you wish to use the word, that boundaries would not be transgressed.  Then came the need for personal boundaries, not only for physical possessions.  And that is why 'marriage'. And even then, even when man's evolution was so close to his physical existence, even then 'marriage' was not something that was forced upon. When physical attraction between one from one bounded area and another from another bounded area was felt, never within the same bounded area…...if the attraction was felt within the same bounded area; it was a natural process of being together. But if the attraction was felt from one bounded area for another in another bounded area, then, before all elements of nature and before all present, the two decided to cross the
boundary and be together.  And that was the purpose of marriage. Today it has outlived all usefulness.  Now we are at a stage in the evolution where the Earth has two distinct groups of evolved souls.  One is the group to which you belong. That group of evolved souls that has realised and acknowledged something that goes beyond physicality. And that group which has closely restricted itself by their physicality.  One group has no need for marriage but allows itself to be forced into it due to social conditioning.  And the other group that requires the same institution as it worked in the past, but ignores it completely because its entire object is only fulfilment of physical desires.  And this paradox is present in your lives every day.  So when you ask, is marriage required, we are forced to answer 'yes' and 'no'.  When the soul has realised itself this is a futile exercise. It causes no union. When the soul has not realised itself, it is required as sometimes the only physical bind, restriction, control, to the fulfilment of a physical desire. When each soul respects its own light and the light of others, laws and rules and norms fall away by the wayside. When the physical self respects not itself, nor that of others, these norms and rules get tighter and tighter and begin to stifle.  And all one needs, to be free of this, is respect. To respect who you are as a complete being, mind, body and soul and to respect another as a complete being, mind, body and soul.  But in order to respect another, there must need be first respect for the self. When two animals are 'bound' in a union, the respect that a third feels for this union will not permit the animal to enter.  And all without the
use of rules and norms.  Yes, my son, you can now ask your question.

Sir you have said about marriage being futile and all that, but in the present circumstances it is the most lucrative and commercial enterprise Sir. ‘Because my son is an 'engineer', I can 'sell' him for so many lakhs 'dowry' and all that’.  What is the real it has degraded itself into what Sir?

The answer is in your hands. And the answer lies again because of the paradox that the Earth faces, with these distinct kinds of souls.  But my son, we gently point out to you that you are judging.

If it is understood that we are all God energies ourselves, why is it that we each come down to earth from life to lifetime, have misunderstandings with each other, accumulate negative karma accidentally and then have to come down again lifetime after lifetime to attain 'moksha'. You made it clear that we are all God's . . . .

This is my first time here. I am quite amazed by what is happening right
now. I have a question that I have been asking people for the last 3 years. I had an 'out-of-body' experience ..

Do you know the meaning of ‘amaze’?

OK. Right. I get that part. I had this 'out-of-body' experience and the next day I became a 'vegetarian' from being a hardcore 'non-vegetarian'. I've never been able to understand that and I'd really appreciate if you would give me an answer or an explanation of that.  My intellectual mind is driving me 'bananas' over that.

It's driving you ‘bananas’? That's vegetarian too!

We will answer this as a general question my child, because in this forum personal questions are not answered. This needs an explanation and so we will answer it as a general subject.

Out of body experiences, you must all remember, are not in a blueprint. Out of body experiences are not free will choice.  Then what are they?  They are the higher soul's direct intervention at points in your life when you or another who has had the experience might have been going very wrongly astray from a blueprint that you chose. We choose the word 'wrong' only from your personal perspective.  The higher soul directly intervenes with full consent of guides, with full consent of the Council. What is to be understood is what really happens in an out-of-body experience.  The spark of light that forms the physical soul is permitted to go very far away from the physical body, but the silver cord is not broken.  But its journey is very, very long. Many have had out-of-body experiences and have not known it because not all out-of-body experiences are conscious. Many stay at the level of the soul, and others, as deemed fit by the higher soul, are deliberately made conscious, where you recognise that there are two aspects of your being. It is sometimes really a question of looking back and seeing yourself that 'if that is yourself' then 'who is this’?  Such conscious
experiences are permitted when the intellectual mind has had a very, very strong control over the life course. When this intellectual control needs to be snapped or eased, 'shock treatment' is required. An out-of-body experience.  Nothing can be more shocking than seeing 'yourself' from ‘yourself’!  But that is not the only purpose. The true purpose of an out-of-body experience where the conscious or only level-of-the- soul-conscious is to enable for a brief time, a merger between soul and higher soul. Complete merger. Complete merger.  In this period of merging a physical soul opens itself out to receiving all that the higher soul desires to give.  When that is complete, the out-of-body experience ends. Now you may ask why out-of-body experiences are more common when there is an accident or an illness.  If you understand now what is the manifestation of the illness, you will understand and answer this question yourself. Let us go then to the 'accident'. It is a furtherance of the shock-treatment. Have you been driving too fast and not listening to the higher soul's commands to ease?  Shock treatment!  Have you been turning your face away from the pleas of all those who are in need?  Shock treatment!  Do we give this shock treatment? We cannot.  It is not in the blueprint. It can only be permitted by the higher soul. And who is this higher soul?  YOU!  YOU give yourself a wonderful opportunity to be created anew. YOU give yourself the opportunity to leave the trodden path and to forge out a new one for yourself. Those out-of-body experiences that are at the level of the soul will not permit conscious mental recollection of the experience, but what might appear strange to the person will be a complete turnaround of mental attitude, physical inter-relationships and a spiritual awakening. Out-of-body experiences always result in a radical switch. Not as minor as non-vegetarian to vegetarian. Deeper than that. And the reason is, when this merger of soul (physical) and higher takes place, this communication is not forgotten. It manifests itself completely in the physical. Do you have any further questions?

We've been taught right from the beginning about the theory of karma.  About how, at the end of one's life . . and we live our lives by this theory. At the end of one's life there's always a balance-sheet and if you do good, you'll become good and if you do bad something bad is going to happen to you. We've been living that conditioning all our lives. But still, you see, that people who do bad . . .

And who better to talk of that than this instrument!  (Laughter) Positive energy, dear one, will always attract positive energy. Negative energy will always attract negative energy.  There is no getting away from it.  How you perceive the manifestation of the energy is entirely your view.  The one you had called 'evil' and who seems to be flourishing, what you are seeing, is only a manifestation of negative energy coming back. judge, because with every coin that he places in his pocket, his aura gets darker and denser.  With every rise to power that he 'seems' to be getting, he attracts with it, a negative energy of destruction.  But this one, who is 'good’, is poor.  Money does not come his way.  Only the grace of the divine!  But he loses all that is dear to him.  How is that ‘grace’?  The grace of the divine gives him the strength and the fortitude to bear what HE has karmically chosen, not as punishment, what he has chosen out of choice to go through. And yet you saw in the wealth and power an 'attraction'.  And you saw in the poverty and loss something to feel sorry for.  The physical, dear one, is an illusion. The manifestation of negative energy can be very attractive!  Do not ever be deceived by its allure.
